Homes construction took a big leap in June up nearly 10% from May but it was driven by multi-family apartments side. Renter nation rocks on! Single family housing starts were actually down just under 1% June From May which was 10% from a year a ago but that's even saying much given where we were a year ago. Now multi-family is where the party is at! Starts up nearly 29% for the month, up 55% from a year ago. And that's the good news because we been talking so much about sky high rents, so supplies should help to ease that burden! For renters bad news though is for that single family side. We are still building for less than normal historical norms and far...far...less than demand.
